My 8X8 painting is titled “Seeing Eye to Eye”. The images are of a ferret and a whooping crane — two endangered animals. Through the Endangered Species Act we have been able to keep them from the tragedy of extinction.
Chautauqua Art in the Park
I painted a small bear for the Chautauqua fund raiser. 25 artists painted truly fantastic and beautiful large and small bears for the auction. The bidding will continue until April.

Bear Inspiration | Bears are like us — they need sunlight, water, air, habitat, and food. Chautauqua and Open Space provide all those bear’s necessities. I thank my lucky stars that Boulder still has wild bears.

Chautauqua Birdhouse Fundraiser
I just dropped off my birdhouse for Colorado Chautauqua’s ART-IN-THE-PARK fundraiser– one of 28 birdhouses now on display at Chautauqua until mid Oct. These birdhouses were made at Cal-wood and were part of a tree from a forest burned in the 2020 CAL-WOOD Fire.
Auction proceeds will benefit participating artists, Cal-Wood Education Center’s ongoing recovery efforts, and Colorado Chautauqua’s vital wildfire protection initiatives.
